What we collect

Your email address, when you sign in. We use it to send your sign-in codes and to know which account is yours.

Whether you asked to hear when the full course opens. We only send course news if you ticked that box.

Which checklist tasks you have ticked, so your progress is saved.

A record of your purchase if you buy the full course: the amount, the currency, and Stripe's reference for it. We never see or store your card details.

How the site is used: which pages are visited and which tasks are ticked. Once you are signed in, this is linked to your account's id, not to your email address.

Cookies

We set cookies only to keep you signed in. They are essential for the learner area to work.

Our analytics do not use cookies or store anything in your browser.

If you switch between light and dark mode, your browser remembers the choice. It stays on your device and is never sent to us.

Who else handles your data

Vercel hosts this website.

Supabase stores your account, progress, and purchase record.

Resend delivers our emails, including your sign-in codes.

Stripe processes payments. Stripe's own privacy policy covers the payment details you give them.

PostHog provides our analytics, from its EU servers.

Why we are allowed to use it

We use your email, progress, and purchase record to provide the course you signed up for.

We send course news only with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

We use analytics because we have a legitimate interest in understanding how the course is used so we can improve it.

How long we keep it

We keep your account and progress until you ask us to delete them. Deleting your account deletes your progress and purchase record with it; Stripe keeps its own payment records as the law requires.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, or withdraw consent for course news. Email hello@shipjam.ai and we will reply within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
